HW2 Davey Rd Interchange Upgrade – Kerb, Channel & Pavement Works
Client: Transport for NSW
As part of the HW2 Davey Road Interchange Upgrade, the works comprised the construction of kerb, channel, stormwater drainage, and reinforced concrete pavement infrastructure. The scope included the supply of all materials, plant, and labour to deliver 1,424 metres of kerb and channel works, comprising 725 m of SA Kerb, 227 m of SE Kerb, 147 m of SM Kerb, and 325 m of SF Kerb. Additional works included 12 m of profile transition and the placement of 163 m³ of no-fines concrete bedding to support structural durability and drainage performance.
Construction Methodology and Quality Standards
Works were delivered through staged sequencing to optimise construction efficiency while minimising traffic impacts. Activities involved excavation and preparation of no-fines pads with geotextile fabric, slipform extrusion of kerbs, and reinforced concrete pavement construction in accordance with the approved jointing plan. Central island infills were completed following kerb installation, with reinforcement, placement, and curing carried out to manufacturer and TfNSW specifications. All works were completed to TfNSW standards, ensuring long-term durability, safety, and performance of the interchange infrastructure.
